Public authorities

A public authority is defined in Section 4 of the Act, these include:

  1. All government Ministries and Departments;
  2. Parliament, Cabinet, the Judiciary, the Tobago House of Assembly,
    Regional Health Authorities, Statutory Bodies, Service Commissions;
  3. A company incorporated under the laws of Trinidad and Tobago which is owned or controlled by the State;
  4. A body incorporate or unincorporated that performs and exercises any function on behalf of the State; or
  5. which is supported directly or indirectly by Government funds and
    over which the Government is in a position to exercise control
